First, this would only be true for open strings. As soon as you fret a note, the nodes are somewhere else. Second, that’s actually one of the deader spots for even harmonics, which are generally considered more musical and desired. There is NOTHING magical about placing a pickup exactly at the 24th spot. If you want a 24 fret fingerboard, go for it!

Not only that, but the shape itself has a aggressive sound, big bottom, good top, and a mean sort of mid-range honk that’s ideal for metal, where oddly enough the majority of black belt level guitar-jitsu happens to call home. This is also the case with some of the V spinoffs and variants. And as to shredability, I dare you to find a neck any faster than jacksons speed neck, which was used only on what? BOOM! You got it, the King V!! Congrats, school is out for today…
